LUMÉ

About LUMÉ

We built the salon we wanted to visit.

One chair in Gurugram in 2014, three studios across Delhi NCR today, and the same rule from the first day: nobody is rushed out of a chair to make room for the next booking.

Our story

Twelve years of slow growth.

LUMÉ opened above a bookshop on Golf Course Road with two stylists, a second-hand colour trolley and a diary kept in pencil. Our founder, Anaya Kapoor, had spent nine years on busy salon floors and wanted to test a simple idea: fewer appointments a day, more time in each one.

The bet held. Word travelled through Gurugram, then to South Delhi brides, then to Noida. We opened Mehrauli in 2019 with a dedicated bridal suite, and Sector 104 in 2023 as our quietest, most skin-focused room. Each studio was fitted out with the same brief — natural light, low noise, no mirrors facing the door.

We still cap the number of weddings we take each season, still close on Mondays for training, and still keep a written note of what worked on your last visit. Growth has been deliberately unhurried, because the service is too.

Philosophy

Four things we refuse to compromise on.

01

Unhurried appointments

Every service has consultation time built into it. If your hair needs an extra twenty minutes, you get them without an upsell.

02

Senior hands, matched properly

The front desk books you with the stylist right for your brief, not whoever has a gap. Assistants train for two years before working solo.

03

Honest recommendations

We will talk you out of a service that will not suit you, and we will tell you when your nails or hair need a break.

04

Hygiene you can watch

Autoclaved metal tools, single-use files, sanitised makeup kits opened in front of you, and linens changed between every guest.

Standards

Clean, documented, checked.

  • Metal implements autoclaved after every guest, with cycle logs kept on site.
  • Single-use files, buffers, waxing spatulas and disposable brush heads.
  • Colour and treatment patch tests offered as standard for first-time guests.
  • Product ingredient lists available at the desk — ask for any formulation.
  • Therapists certified annually in hygiene and client-safety protocol.

Client stories

In their words.

I have never had a stylist actually ask how much time I spend on my hair in the morning. Six weeks later the cut still falls the way it did on day one.
